Weed control with gps and big capacity

A Dutch nursery has developed a new weed control machine for field grown seedlings. The machine is working on gps coordinates and has a big capacity.

The machine is 7.5 metres wide and can do the weed control at 5 planting beds in one go. It has been developed by Styen Herijgers, young entrepreneur (30 years) of Hergo Nursery in Dutch growing area Zundert. The machine has been build by another young entrepreneur, Erwin Delcroix (26 years) from the same area.

This summer, which is again dry and hot like the summers of 2018 and 2019 in the Netherlands, the circumstances are very good for using the machine. ’When a machine has a big capacity, you can do a big job in a short period of time’, says Herijgers after he has given a demonstration with his innovation:

Het lijkt heel stoer om voor een gps gestuurd werktuig te lopen maar als je struikelt, heb je wel een probleem.
Verder mooi constructiewerk waar je een hoop plezier van kunt hebben.
