‘It’s small-scale fair with a relaxing atmosphere’

    The first The Flower Bazar in Aalsmeer took place last week. “It’s all about the visitor, about hospitality and emotion. Like in the days when prices were agreed by the billiard table in the pub”, according to organiser Pascal Koeleman.

    “We want to revitalise the relationships throughout the chain so that people don’t forget about us. Everyone is still recovering”, said Jan de Boer of Barendsen, one of the exhibitors at The Flower Bazar. He invited visitors to a warm bath, both figuratively and literally. The director noticed that people really want to see, smell, feel and taste.

    Kept awake

    The Flower Bazar, the brainchild of Pascal Koeleman and Rudi Tuinman of 2Dezign, was the second floriculture trade fair in the Netherlands since March 2020. The Autumn Fair of Royal FloraHolland (RFH) was the first, a week earlier. The Flower Bazar took place in Floriworld, a stone’s throw away from Royal FloraHolland.(..)
