New garden plants from around the world at Chelsea

    At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, UK companies will introduce 12 new plants from around the world managed by Plantipp.

    Thompson & Morgan introduce the following new varieties with royalty management by Plantipp:

    > Agapanthus Fireworks: bred by De Wet Plant Breeders from South Africa

    > Ajuga tenorii Princess Nadia: bred by Nadia Plants from Netherlands

    > Nepeta Neptune: found by Kees Jan Kraan from Netherlands

    > Chlorophytum saunderisiae Starlight: won by Ian Lief from South Africa

    > Clematis Kokonoe: bred by Shigeaki Ochiai from Japan

    > Clematis Little Lemons: bred by J. van Zoest from Netherlands

    Hillier introduces these varieties:

    > Cordyline australis Pink Star: found by Grzegorz Tuszyński from Poland

    > Weigela Picobella Rosa: bred by Bert Verhoef from Netherlands

    > Isoplexis Bella: bred by Birdie Lenard- Fountain from the United States

    Isoplexis Bella is also presented at Chelsea by Suttons Nurseries. This company also introduces:

    > Delphinium elatum Cinderella: bred by Dowdeswell’s Delphiniums from the US

    > Sedum takesimense Atlantis: bred by Hortech from the US

    > Vaccinium corymbosum Flamingo: won by G. Hoogenraad from Netherlands.

    The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will be held from 21-25 May 2019 in London.
