In order to prevent total chaos as of 1 July 2022 in the export of cut flowers from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom, the recognition scheme for in-house phytosanitary inspections (Erkenningsregeling Fytosanitaire Bedrijfscontroles) has been introduced. Certified companies will be allowed to perform their own phytosanitary inspections of cut flowers. While this may be a burden for exporters, there really is no other option. (..)
