An unprecedented 56% of exhibitors, representing over 200 companies signed up for the 2018 edition of GreenTech before the show closed. A fourth hall has been added to the floor plan, to allow for expansion. The next edition of GreenTech will be held 12-13-14 June 2018 and kick off with the GreenTech Summit the day before on June 11.
Highlights were plentiful at GreenTech Amsterdam. Many forms of vertical farming were presented including growing systems in vertical tubes and multilayer cultivation. As well as more innovation in lighting, propagation and sorting.
The second edition of GreenTech closed today. Exhibitor numbers grew by 35% from 298 to 415 in 2016, representing 36 countries.
GreenTech, the trade show for horticulture technology, opened today with the announcement of the winner of the Innovation Award. The overall winner – out of a total of 73 entries – of the Innovation Award 2016 is the Deleafing Robot by Priva from the Netherlands. An international jury awarded two nominations with a Category Award. ISO Plantsampler by ISO group won in the Category Production, HortiMaX-Go! by Ridder Hortimax Group won in the Category Automation Solutions.
GreenTech will introduce a 3D-preview of greenhouses in the new Breeders Pavilion. The pavilion offers their visitors a unique opportunity to see the newest varieties of flowers and plants. The Breeders Pavilion is located on the trading floor in a real greenhouse with a surface area of 300 m2. It has been built and fully equipped by Hogervorst Tabben.
This year, the international trade fair for horticulture GreenTech will offer floor space to an additional 25% exhibiting companies, compared to 2014. The second GreenTech exhibition will be organised in RAI Amsterdam from 14 to 16 June 2016.
