The German market for ornamental plant products reached a record high of EUR 10.3 billion last year. Trends such as the popularity of green plants, the rise in online sales, the growing share of retail sales and the increasing importance of sustainability persist.
BGI carries out an annual market analysis for the German plant and flower market, which is issued by trade organisation Verband des Deutschen Blumen- Gross- und Importhandels around the time of the IPM in Essen. Although the IPM was cancelled this year, March 2022 nevertheless saw the publication of Close to Green, a magazine on the German plant and flower trade. (..)
