HortEx Vietnam expected to double in size for next edition

The launch of HortEx Vietnam, which took place from 14-16 March 2018 in the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC, has been a great success and participants were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the visitors. HortEx Vietnam expects to double in size for next edition.

In total more than 110 companies from 20 countries worldwide participated and some 4.500 visitors visited the event. Apart from the Vietnamese visitors the exhibition also welcomed quite a number of visitors from other South-East Asian countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, but also up to Korea, Australia, China, USA and India.

During the exhibition an extensive seminar program was being organised where experts from various trade associations, ministries, embassies and private companies shared their knowledge on all aspects of the horticultural and floricultural market in Vietnam.

Vietnam is the fastest growing economy of the South-East Asian countries and horticulture and floriculture are one of the most promising sectors of this economy. Given these favourable market circumstances the organisers of HortEx Vietnam aim to establish a solid annual trade show in the coming years that will serve all segments of the Vietnamese horticulture and floriculture sector.

HortEx Vietnam can contribute to the further development of the industry in Vietnam and create a bridge between International and local suppliers of horticultural and floricultural products on one side and the Vietnamese growers and other industry professionals on the other side.

The large International and local participation and interest in HortEx Vietnam underlines the potential and development of the Vietnamese horticulture and floriculture industry.

HortEx Vietnam is supported by the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam, Lam Dong Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Center (TIPC), Vietnam Fruit & Vegetable Association (VinaFruit) and the Dalat Flower Association.

At HortEx Vietnam participants will be able to meet key decision-makers, strengthen valuable contacts with customers and partners and explore the potential of an exciting and huge emerging market.

Based on this years’ edition and the favorable market circumstances the organisers expect the 2019 edition to double in size and become one of the most significant events in the region.

The dates for HortEx Vietnam 2019 are set from 13-15 March and the exhibition will once again take place in Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC.
