National booths from all over the world present their products at IPM ESSEN

National booths from Belgium, Denmark, France, Great Britain, India, Israel, Japan, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Taiwan and USA will be present at IPM Essen. IPM 2017 will take place from 24 to 27 January.

Belgium
Trade visitors gain an overview of goods typical of the Countries Belgium. 40 exhibitors will take part in the Belgian joint presentation which will be divided between Hall 2 (30 exhibitors), Hall 7 (four exhibitors) and Hall 12 (six exhibitors).

The booth in Hall 2 will focus on the producers of ornamental plants, laurels, azaleas, rhododendrons and hardy plants. It will also be possible to find house plants, chrysanthemums, garden plants and perennial plants here.

The companies in Hall 12 will present trees, forest and hedge plants, roses and ornamental bushes. On the joint booth in Hall 7, it will be possible to see young rhododendrons, hardy plants as container goods and with root balls, bare-root plants and ornamental grasses.

Denmark
At IPM ESSEN 2017, too, Hall 5 will again be firmly in Danish hands. Around 50 exhibitors will present their available ranges there and will show house plants, garden plants, new concepts and new products. A Plant Lounge will promise inspirations for the sector. At 5.30 p.m. on the first day of the fair, there will be a Happy Flower Hour for exhibitors and visitors.

France
France will be represented with two joint booths. The subjects on the booth in the Galeria will be flowers, vegetables and systems for the booming market of the inner city: Mini peppers, cucumbers and lupines, new brilliant flower-bearing and compact cyclamens or also a vertical farm. New hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, lilies and substrates will be on display, too.

On the second booth in Hall 10, it will be possible to see, amongst other exhibits, new magnolias, long-flowering roses and, for the first time, unusual mulberries, walnuts and chestnuts.

Great Britain
The Commercial Horticultural Association (CHA) will be responsible for the British joint booth. There, 16 member companies will present a wide available range of new varieties and innovative technologies.

India
Products made of coconut fibres will play the main role on the Indian joint booth in which 26 companies will participate. The pith of the coconut fibres improves the soil and is increasingly being utilised as a fertiliser. It is a soil-free growth promoter and a substitute for peat. Coconut fibres are available in various forms, e.g. as an organic fertiliser, compost bags, briquettes or discs.

Israel
Trends on the Israeli joint booth will be plants from biological cultivation, high- trunk trees as well as easy-care and drought-resistant plants. Six companies will participate in this presentation. Amongst other exhibits, they will show herbs, perennial plants, vegetables, citrus and avocado plants in pots, myrtles, ornamental woody plants, Judas trees, trumpet pitchers, flowering and deciduous plants as well as squills.(Hall 2.0, Booth 2B15).

Japan
The high school of bonsai art will be one of the central subjects on the Japanese joint booth. Four companies will be in situ, two of them will be local bonsai groups. The Beauty of Tradition will be the motto of their presentation. Not only classic bonsai but also garden trees bearing the macro bonsai designation will be introduced in order to make it possible to experience bonsai art for the garden, too.

Italy
The Italian exhibitors traditionally bring Mediterranean flair to IPM ESSEN. In the temporary Halls 13 and 14 as well as in the foyer of the Grugahalle, they will show nursery goods typical of the country and ornamental plants for pots. One highlight will be the Sicilian presentation which is being organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Trade (ICE). Here, 13 producers will present, above all, lemon and orange trees.

Netherlands
Around 60 companies will participate in the joint booth in Hall 12 which is being organised by BIZZ Holland. Amongst other places, the exhibitors will come from Boskoop, Opheusden, Venlo, Zundert and other parts of the Netherlands. They will show the newest ornamental hedges, bushes, perennial plants, water plants and road trees. There will be guided tours on all the days of the fair. They will start from the Booth Information counter at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will show the visitors the specialties and new varieties of the exhibitors.

Poland
Hardy plants will be one of the main focal points on the Polish joint booth. Eight companies will participate in the presentation at IPM ESSEN 2017. They will show a wide variety of plants: trees, bushes, perennial plants, climbing plants and fruit plants – cultivated both outdoors and in containers. Young plants which have been produced in vitro as well as in cultivation will be offered. The plant size will range from C2 to C285. Polish plants are exported not only to numerous European states but also to many distant countries such as the USA or Japan.

Spain
The Spanish joint booth will consist of around 30 firms which are organised in FEPEX (Spanish Federation of Associations of Exporting Producers of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers and Plants) and produce ornamental plants. Companies from the Valencia region, Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Galicia and Andalusia will present themselves on over 970 square metres.

They will primarily show not only ornamental plants, Mediterranean plants, palm trees, oleanders, dipladenias, olive trees, hibiscuses, rose bushes, carnations and allamandas but also ornamental plants such as daisies or osteospermums, spice plants and seasonal plants. All the exhibiting firms will have quality assurance systems to produce flowers and ornamental plants such as the Plant Production Quality System (PPQS).

Taiwan
Within the flower breeding industry, the Taiwan Floriculture Exports Association stands up for international coordination, the strengthening of exports and the refinement of the common interests of the sector. For the association, the participation in the fair will be an important building block for its presentation and in order to gain insights into other markets. Four companies will be in situ on the Taiwanese joint booth and will present cut flowers such as orchids, anthuriums or eustomas.

USA
Eight companies from the south of the USA will present their available ranges on this joint booth. Not only nurseries and producers of initial plant material but also tree brokers and an agency for plant patents will be represented. Moreover, an extensive spectrum of plants will be introduced because the world’s largest producer of bare-root liriopes, a wholesaler for tropical plants, a supplier of young plants and a producer for bougainvilleas, hibiscuses and ixoras will be in situ.

On additional joint participation booths, exhibitors from China (Hall 8, Booths 8B07 and B09), Costa Rica (Hall 1.0, Booth 1B17), the Netherlands (FloraHolland, Hall 1, Booth 1B17), Portugal (Hall 7, Booth 7E34), South Korea (Hall 3, Booths 3D71, D73, E72 and E74), Turkey (Hall 8, Booth 8B45) and Hungary (Hall 10, Booths 10D10 and 10D11) will present their products for the international green sector.
