New collaboration Bremkens Orchids and Dümmen Orange

Dümmen Orange and Bremkens Orchids signed an agreement for exclusive rooting of Dümmen Orange phalaenopsis products for the European market at the Bremkens production facility in Germany. In addition, the sales teams of both companies will team up.

Dümmen Orange is market leader in the breeding of floricultural crops. Since the company acquired Taiwanese orchid breeder SOGO in 2017, the breeding and global sales of phalaenopsis has steadily developed consolidating Dümmens market position in this product category.

Joint promotions

The partnership also includes the teaming up of the sales teams of both companies. Edwin van den Nieuwendijk (Sales Manager at Bremkens Orchids) and Christian Bremkens will combine with the Dümmen Orange Sales Team in order to bring the products forward in Europe. Both companies will also investigate possible deeper association in joint promotions, testing facilities and improved services for growers.

Dümmen Orange

Dümmen Orange is the world’s largest breeder and propagator of cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials. Its annual turnover is about €350 m. The company employs over 7,300 people worldwide. In addition to a large marketing and sales network, Dümmen Orange has a diversified network of specialized production sites. The key to Dümmen Orange’s success is a broad and deep product range, supported by a global supply chain.

Brenmkens Orchids

The company was founded in 1955 by Matthias’s father. Their young plants are being raised in 3ha greenhouse in Geldern-Walbeck, Germany. Bremkens supplies young plants to growers in Europe and with this agreement the company will be the preferred phalaenopsis rooting station for Dümmen Orange in Europe.

Bremkens Orchids young plants are sold all over the world, with the Netherlands as the main market. This growing family business belongs to the top largest breeders and young plant producers in Europe. It is a family-owned company and currently managed by Christian Bremkens in close collaboration with his brother Peter and their father Matthias.
