Plantarium 2020 has been cancelled due to corona measures. The international trade show for hardy nursery stock in the Netherlands was scheduled for the end of August.

The Dutch government has extended the corona measures. All events that need a licence or official report to authorities, are prohibited until 1 September 2020. Even after this date, a trade fair with corona measures (like 1.5 metres social distance) is not responsible and feasible, says the organization of Plantarium.

Plantarium will focus now on a digital platform for growers and visitors. According to the organization, this is a logical step to promote ornamental products and facilitate companies in the industry. Plans for the physical trade fair will be postponed until 2021.

Plantarium 2020 was planned together and under the same roof as the Autumn Fair of Groen-Direkt. This trading company has got plans to continue the fair, but they have to be approved first by the local authorities.
