Coronavirus: RHS events like Chelsea follow UK advice

The Royal Horticultural Society continues to monitor the ongoing coronavirus situation, regarding upcoming gardening events including the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The RHS has stated on Thursday 12 March that they keep on adhere and follow UK government advice and guidelines. Until now RHS events will continue this spring. ’If the government advice changes and we have to cancel any of our events, anyone who has purchased a ticket will get a full refund, and we will contact show exhibitors and stakeholders as soon as possible.’

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is scheduled for 19 to 23 May. The newest gardening plants will be introduced by breeders, nurseries and landscapers.

The Raymond Evison Clematis Exhibit for example, will be displaying over 2,000 clematis plants in more than 30 cultivars. This will include the new variety Olympia (’Evipo099’). It grows only to 90-120 cm and is ideal for both large and small gardens, says Raymond Evison, also for use in pots and containers on a patio or deck garden.
