EDD Group becomes part of Dutch Flower Group

As of 1 January 2019, the EDD Group trading companies (E. den Dekker, DRC Plantes and DRC Flor) will join forces with Dutch Flower Group (DFG).

EDD Group, with founder Eddie den Dekker as its driving force, has been active in the trade of plants, plant concepts and fresh cut flowers since 1986. Operating out of the Honselersdijk head office, at Trade Parc Westland, more than 80 employees work every day to serve the individual needs of large-scale retailers such as supermarkets, garden centres, DIY stores and wholesalers.

EDD Group was looking for a dedicated partner to enable growth of its customer portfolio and expansion of services. In Dutch Flower Group, they have found this.

From 1 January 2019, all E. den Dekker, DRC Plant and DRC Flor activities will be carried out under the DFG banner.

EDD Group director Eddie den Dekker said: “I am very pleased about this development. The affiliation with Dutch Flower Group gives our company a positive boost. They are a solid, dedicated partner with the strength, know-how and network to further build upon our customer relationships.”

Den Dekker will remain on the company’s board. EDD Group and its tradenames will continue to be presented in the market as they are now.

With this expansion, Dutch Flower Group expects to further strengthen the DFG companies’ market positions with their large-scale retail and wholesale customers in Europe.

EDD Group is a group of companies specialised in trading plants and cut flowers, mainly involved in supplying large-scale retail and wholesale.

In 2017 EDD Group had 80 employees and turned over € 85 million supplying to European destinations.
