’No Brexit-deal? No positive consequence for our industry’

The UK industry feels positive about the impact of corona lockdown on plant sales, but according to HTA chairman James Barnes, there are still concerns about the impact of the Brexit.

In an interview with Floribusiness, Barnes says there is clearly great concern in the UK regarding the second corona wave, economic downturn and a no-deal-Brexit still likely. ’But our industry feels relatively positive as the lockdown will boost the plant sales’. The chairman of the Horticultural Trades Association has no idea whether there will be a Brexit-deal or no-deal. ’In the event of a no-deal, there will be no positive consequence for the UK industry and trading with the EU.’
