Organisers of Flower Expo Ukraine expects continuation of growth in 2017

The organisers of Flower Expo Ukraine 2017, which will take place from 4-6 April 2017 in the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) in Kiev, are expecting to continue its growth path in 2017.

During the last edition, which took place from 12 – 14 April, the exhibition increased with 35% in comparison to 2015. Some 6.500 visitors made their way to the exhibition to make new contacts, source new products, meet suppliers, obtain market information or visit one of the numerous floral demonstrations.

The number of visitors increased with 30% in comparison to 2015.

Kuno Jacobs, Managing Director of Nova Exhibitions says: “This tendency runs parallel to the improving market situation in Ukraine. This year we see an increasing trade with Ukraine and the market is making a good recovery. For next year an economic growth of 2% is expected. The free trade agreement with Europe is contributing to these improving market conditions. Within 2,5 years all import duties should be decreased to zero. For many international companies it is now the time to enter this market and obtain or expand their market share. After all Ukraine is basically the last emerging market in Europe with some 46 million people.”

For 2017 the organisers expect a record high re-booking percentage of more than 80%. This in combination with new companies entering the market contributes to the increase of the exhibition.

Flower Expo Ukraine is being organised under the patronage of the Flower Council of Ukraine. Furthermore the event can count on the support from the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Netherlands Embassy in Kiev.
