EU passport: ’Everyone says something different’

European growers complained at the IPM show in Germany about the introduction of the EU plant passport by their governments.

Every EU country can interpret EU rules differently. That is happening regarding the EU plant passport as part of the EU Plant Health Regulation, growers said at the IPM show in Germany. ’If you ask in Germany where you should attach the passport, everyone says something different’, said leading German rose grower Wilhelm-Alexander Kordes. In Poland, grower Bronislaw Jan Szmit asked his government questions. ’Such as how to keep the passport administration. I don’t have an answer yet.’
