China really is becoming the world’s odd one out, alongside Russia, perhaps, but that is another story. China is getting completely isolated and is staying that way, cut off from the outside world and pretty much living in another world.
Seeing people get off a plane from China in another country is almost pitiful: on the plane they are left with no food and drink, attended by a cabin crew all dressed in white. Then they emerge from the boarding bridge and enter another, normal world, where local airport staff stare at them and treat them as if they had just returned from a disaster zone.
China is now a world of continuous COVID testing, (..)
