Dutch rose hibernating

For German rose grower Wolfgang Klümpen it is just routine, but for grower Porta Nova from Waddinxveen it was a first: temporarily shutting down the rose greenhouse and ceasing production. Spurred by the high energy prices, they were not the only rose grower in the Netherlands to make this decision. And although foreign rose growers also face rising costs, the auction supply streams show that they are not nearly as high.
