De bloemen die ze gebruikt in haar arrangementen kweekt Marjolijn Fliek van Raket & Distels zelf bij een biologische tuinder. Ze gooit niks weg, combineert droge met verse bloemen en verkoopt geen verse zonnebloemen in de winter: ‘Zo ga ik met de seizoenen en de cyclus van het leven mee.’
Natuurlijke schoonheid
Saskia de Valk van Vlinder & Vogel deed de kunstacademie en maakt veel werk met (duurzame) bloemen als basis. Ze houdt van de imperfectie: ‘Ik kijk heel anders dan de kweker. Die ziet een vlekje of een kromme bloem, maar dat is juist wat ik mooi vind.’
